This Privacy Policy (Policy) applies to Easygo Group Holdings Pty Ltd (ABN 50 676 669 686) and its related bodies corporate operating in Australia (collectively referred to as “Easygo”, “we”, “us” and “our”).
Some of our platforms have their own privacy policies which prevail over this Policy. We encourage you to read them to understand their specific practices.
We are committed to respecting your privacy. This Policy sets out how Easygo collects, uses, stores, and discloses your personal information (including sensitive information), and explains the rights you have in relation to such personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act), which includes the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Personal information is defined in the Privacy Act as information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether or not the information or opinion is true, and whether or not the information or opinion is in material form. For job applicants:
- identity and contact details (such as your name, date of birth, address, phone number and email address);
- professional and employment information, including employment history, qualifications, and academic records;
- residency status and working rights;
- information in relation to, or from, references provided by you;
- demographic information, if you choose to provide it in your resume/CV;
- banking and superannuation fund details for successful candidates;
- results from criminal record or other background checks conducted by third party service providers following the acceptance of any job offer; and
- any other personal information you share with us that may be required to facilitate recruitment or onboarding processes.
For individuals acting on behalf of third party service providers, and contractors:
- professional contact details; and
- records of our communications with you.
We also collect sensitive information, such as criminal record information for job applicants, with your consent and where required or authorised by law, for example, for pre-employment background checks.
How do we collect your personal information?
We may collect your personal information either directly from you, or from third parties. We may collect personal information directly from you when you:
- email, telephone or engage in other correspondence with us;
- submit information on any of our websites or platforms, or share information with us from other social applications, services or websites;
- interact with our website, platforms or services; and
- share information in support of, or in relation to, your job application.
We endeavour to collect your personal information directly from you. However, in some circumstances we may collect your personal information from third parties. We only collect your personal information from a third party or a publicly available source if we have your prior consent, or when you would reasonably expect us to collect such personal information. The Privacy Act contains certain exemptions in relation to certain acts undertaken in relation to employee records and by related bodies corporate. Where appropriate we make use of relevant exemptions in the Privacy Act.
How we collect information through our website - Cookies and other technologies
We may collect certain information about you when you use and access our websites to improve your experience and navigation, and to understand your browsing activities.
We may record certain information about your use of our website, such as which pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, browser type, operating system, and your IP address.

Why do we collect and process your personal information?

Do we use your personal information for marketing?
We may, with your consent and unless you tell us not to, use your personal information to:

Who do we disclose your personal information to and why?
We may disclose personal information for the purposes described in this Policy to:

We operate across multiple jurisdictions, with teams and entities in Australia and internationally. As such, some of the entities listed above that we engage with may be located overseas. We also rely on the use of approved data transfer mechanisms (such as standard contractual clauses) where appropriate to provide adequate safeguards for your personal information.
How do we hold and store personal information?
We may hold your personal information in either electronic or hard copy form. Most of the personal information we collect is stored as digital records on servers hosted by our third party service providers which are located globally.
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss, as well as unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We use a number of physical, administrative, personnel, organisational and technical measures to protect your personal information.

Your rights: personal information access and correction requests
