When 1.5 million viewers tuned into a single stream, unplanned, most other new platforms would have crashed. KICK held.
JC joined Easygo as Lead Engineering Manager just over two years ago, bringing six years of leadership experience and the drive to build a team and a platform that could handle anything. When KICK launched in late 2022, it was able to support 100,000 viewers on a stream. But JC and his team of 30+ engineers across Melbourne and Europe built it to where it is now; able to support millions without issue.
It wasn’t always straightforward though. The team had to adapt constantly to stay ahead of demand while the product scaled around them, and the pressure to move fast was real. But they built properly, improving systems, strengthening stability, and making sure the foundations were solid enough to carry what was coming. It paid off, and when 1.5 million viewers tuned into one stream, with no notice and no disruption, it was undeniable. The team was no longer playing catch-up – they were setting the pace.
Then came MrBeast’s charity stream, a high-profile live event, with limited lead time, and a fundraising target that kept moving. $5 million became $8 million became $12 million. The team worked through the night: securing accounts, customising the platform, monitoring in real time, deploying fixes when needed. Again, the stream held and the target was reached.
“It was a huge moment for us,” JC said. “Everyone was completely tuned in. The team were on top of the issues and requests as they came in without any delay. It showed just how motivated we are to meet big goals.”
That's the standard they hold themselves to, and it's the standard they hire for. Skills matter, yes. But fearlessness and resilience are what count in those moments. If you take initiative, are driven to learn, and are motivated by impact, Easygo is where that drive finds room to grow.
““We are proud of how far we have come,” JC said. “We are always hiring, always learning, and always aiming higher.””
Come build with us.
